Israeli Defense Comics # 03 Limited Edition Ashcan Preview

While we are in the midst of our Kickstarter to help finish post-production and printing for Israeli Defense Comics # 02 (click for our Kickstarter), we are also planning our sensational third issue!

Israeli Defense Comics # 03 will feature a team up between Magen and Shaloman. The issue will come with a regular cover by Joshua H. Stulman and a variant cover by Shaloman creator, Al Wiesner. The issue will also make use of never before published Shaloman pages known as the “Lost Shaloman” story.

More details will follow in the coming months, as IDC # 02 is completed and sent to the printers.

However we do have a limited edition ashcan 10 page preview of Israeli Defense Comics # 03 available only at our Wizard World booth #B20 and B22. As in the past for our ashcan previews for IDC # 01 and #02, the Israeli Defense Comics # 03 Ashcan will be a limited edition and only available at the conventions this year.

Event: Wizard World Philadelphia 2015

Title: Jewish Super-Heroes and the Golem

Panelists: Joshua H. Stulman and Al Wiesner

TIME: Sunday, May 10  12:00 – 12:45PM

ROOM: Pennsylvania Convention Center, Room 109

Description:

The Jewish comic book creators of the Golden Age of Comics (1930’s-1950’s) were inspired by a variety of sources. While many of these included cinema, pulp novels, and science fiction, some creators reached into their heritage to old tales of the Golem- a mythical clay creation come to life.  Discover how the Golem myth inspired Marvel and DC characters like the Hulk, Thing, and Clayface. Jewish comic book creators Al Wiesner (Shaloman) and Joshua H. Stulman (Israeli Defense Comics) explain how the Golem continues to play a major role in their comics.
